PPC or SEO?

If you’re stumble into the idea of making money from the internet, and the most popular way to do it is to use the search engine as your marketing tool. This is usually called Search Engine Marketing or SEM.
Of course there are other way to drive traffic of visitor to your site, but this is the most popular and effective type of marketing online.
My mentor Anne Ahira of AsianBrain Internet Marketing Center, said that using SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is slow, but it’s very good in the long term. And she said that her favorite source of traffic is using PPC (Pay Per Click) as she can produce almost instant traffic to her site.
Now, for the sake of clarity of this article. I will make a brief description about SEO and PPC.
SEO is used to get a free organic traffic from the Search Engine, it involved On Site / On Page Optimization and Off Page Optimization. The position of your web page(s) is determined by the Search Engine Algorithm, whether it is Google, Yahoo, MSN or other Search Engine(s). Using SEO as the traffic source will require a little bit more time and effort.
PPC means we pay the Search Engine to show link(s) that goes to our site for our choice of keyword(s) which will trigger the ads to show if someone search our certain choice of keyword(s). Using Google Adwords, for example will bring traffic to our site as soon as 10 or 15 minutes after we set-up the campaign. Almost instantly.
